Hi,

A SUMMER of postal strikes could be on the cards after postmen in Clevedon and Yatton voted in favour of industrial action.
They are among the first branches of the Communication Workers Union in the greater Bristol area to be balloted over a cost-cutting dispute.
Kevin Beazer south west regional secretary of the union said: "This group of delivery offices were the first to be balloted out of a total of 23 offices and the rest are in the process of holding gate meetings and being balloted.
"Furthermore, the SW Distribution Hub at Severnside have agreed to be balloted, and next week the Bristol Mail Centre will be holding gate meetings to agree an industrial action ballot.
"Eventually we will have mandates across Delivery units, the distribution network and the Mail Centre at Filton which services the South West Region and is a key unit in the UK network.
"If the business continues to ignore our members and the agreements the union has made on their behalf industrial action across the Bristol area could be inevitable, Bristol postal workers will join their colleagues in London and Scotland in defending their terms and conditions."
